Wow, wow and wow! I am not sure where to begin singing the praises of the subject of todays post, Letterpress experts and Wedding Stationery suppliers extraordinaire Bella Figura, there is nothing I don’t love about this company – from their incredible range, that includes a full suite of stationery and stunning designs (of over 200!); to their almost limitless customisations – at NO extra cost! From their eco ethos, that makes them perfect for the environmentally aware as well as the fashionable; to their amazing service that starts with their wonderful website.
Just take a look at these (just a select few from their divine invitation designs)……
Leigha Spring blooms with fresh romantic flowers and traditional wedding elegance.
Peacock is a dramatic and luxurious design, with regal colours, perfect for a stylish wedding.
With Deco Old Hollywood glamour meets letterpress elegance – refined and simple, it has a timeless vintage feel.
I adored my bridal bouquet and I can still smell it now if I close my eyes…… ivory roses and freesias will always take me back to NYE 2010! But I was devastated when New years Day I awoke to find my perfect ivory roses tinged with brown (as all roses do when out of water for a day) And 2 weeks later, when the very last flower had died and I had to throw it away, I could have cried – I didn’t want anything from that magical day to go out with the rubbish!
So I absolutely love the work of Noaki! Saving brides from this unnecessary post wedding day heartache creating vintage brooch bridal bouquets – and beautiful heirlooms of the future.
One of the best things about being the author of Chic Vintage Brides is that it gives me the excuse to spend hours (upon hours, upon hours…) browsing gorgeous bridal gowns, from the very latest collections of the most fabulously talented designers – like Mariana Hardwick!
More Downton Abbey-esque Edwardian Wedding inspiration (after my Deliciously Downton Vera post at the beginning of this month) – I know, I know, I am a girl obsessed but look at these incredible photos and you will see why I couldn’t resist one more……..
Recently, in my constant search for fabulous new designers and wedding suppliers, I have discovered the most delectable wedding dresses, invites, jewellery and accessories – many of which I had never come across in the UK!
I have plans to do Posts on all of them in the not too distant future, but in the mean time I wanted to capture the headlines and highlights, as a reminder for me and a bit of a sneak peak of things to come.
After my Marcel & Finger Wave post, for those in love with the style of the roaring forties, I have Pin Curls……
……and where you can find the most fabulous vintage wedding dresses!
Plus I have posts in progress, for the bride looking for something a bit different……
I have long loved the glamorous hair styles of the past – starting with the loose pin curls of the 1940s, who could not love the luscious locks of stars such as Rita Hayworth! But my all time favourite is the Finger Wave and Marcel Wave, so hugely popular in the 20s and 30s.
So sleek and gorgeous! The wave was developed, as a way of softening the hard appearance of the fashionable bob of the flapper period. Finger Waves and Marcel Waves look very similar, with the only real difference being the way in which they are achieved.
