Utterly Gorgeous Coloured Gowns for the Unconventional Bride

For me, having a vintage inspired wedding was about trying to create a look personal and unique to me – when I was younger I was adamant I would get married in black, so obviously my wedding was always destined to be unique! When planning our wedding I did consider challenging convention and going with a coloured wedding dress, but I am afraid to say I found it all too difficult and chose the easy Ivory option. Inspiration – Atonement Aspirations

 Inspired by the fabulous find that was those gorgeous Art Nouveau invites from the delightful Dear Emma Stationery store on Etsy but with a dash of THAT infamous dress in Atonement, I have pulled together an ‘Oh My God –  Chartreuse’ Mood Board.

If only I had peach toned skin, like most lucky red heads, I may well have chosen this colour scheme for my own wedding, I just love it! Chartreuse is  a really versatile colour – vibrant enough for Spring and Summer, but with more russet oranges it would be Autumnal perfection. It goes beautifully with ivory, with highlights in a blushing orange – the combination fresh, chic and oh so vintage.
